In Alignment with the Vision of the Holy Al-Husseiniya Shrine… A Qualitative Step Toward Digital Empowerment at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa

Under the patronage of the Holy Al-Husseiniya Shrine and in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Digital Empowerment, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) launched advanced programs in the field of digital empowerment, within a vision aimed at developing students’ technical skills.
 
The College also received a visit from Dr. Khalil Al-Tayyar, Advisor for External Relations and Public Affairs at the Holy Al-Husseiniya Shrine, to discuss mechanisms for activating the terms of the joint agreement. He was welcomed by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Ali Al-Ghanimi, in a step that contributes to enhancing opportunities for practical training and keeping pace with the latest technological developments.
 
This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to preparing its students with high competence and empowering them to compete in the labor market through modern training programs and advanced practical experience.

A training course on the Student Information System and how to add students to it.

 







The College of Modern Technologies, in cooperation with the Registration and Student Affairs Department, organized a training workshop for newly established colleges. The workshop covered the Student Information System (SIS), including how to add students to it, along with all ministerial requirements. It also addressed how to complete the academic record for the second semester, add carryover students to the record, create courses for the first semester and link them to students, as well as create and link second-semester courses to students across all academic stages. Additionally, the workshop explained the mechanism for distributing usernames and passwords to students, and how to modify or add courses and academic records for both semesters.

The Deanship of the College of Science at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa Receives the Scientific Committee from the University of Karbala within the Framework of Joint Supervision of Standardized Examinations







Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Hussein Nofal, Dean of the College of Science at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him), received the scientific committee delegated from the University of Karbala / College of Medical Sciences, within the framework of activating the joint supervision tasks over the administration of standardized examinations agreed upon by both parties. This initiative reflects the principle of academic integration and reinforces the frameworks of cooperation between educational institutions within the province.
The visit included a precise field follow-up of the examination procedures, during which the committee reviewed the organizational mechanisms as well as the logistical and technical measures adopted to ensure the integrity and rigor of the examinations. The committee affirmed the success of bilateral coordination in aligning academic standards between the two colleges.
For her part, the Dean stated that the management of these examinations is subject to a reciprocal and systematic supervision aimed at assessing the quality of outcomes and unifying educational perspectives in accordance with ministerial requirements. She also commended the efforts exerted by both parties in creating a disciplined examination environment that reflects the high academic standards of the two universities and contributes to enhancing students’ academic performance indicators.

The College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiya University launches a practical program and emphasizes digital skills for students of the Digital Media Department.

The College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiya University, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, launched a new training program to develop the digital skills of its students. This initiative aims to enhance their capabilities in the areas of electronic editing, content creation, and dealing with digital platforms, in line with the requirements of the modern media environment.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad Jamal Al-Taif, said, "The program includes a series of practical workshops for second-year students in the Digital Media Department that will last for several weeks," noting that the workshops focus on digital writing skills in the field of preparing and editing digital journalistic interviews.
He added that "the program comes in response to the transformations taking place in contemporary media, and in line with the university's mission to develop students' capabilities and raise the level of their skills," while stressing at the same time that "editing skills in the digital environment now require familiarity with digital tools and interactive presentation methods."
In a related context, Professor Walaa Al-Saffar, a faculty member at the college, indicated that "the program targets second-year students with the aim of preparing them for the media job market and enabling them to utilize modern technologies to produce more rapid, accurate, and widely disseminated journalistic content." He pointed out that "the training plan includes a practical component that simulates the work environment within digital media institutions."
He added that this type of program represents a necessary response to the ongoing changes in the structure of journalistic practice, especially with the increasing reliance on digital media as a primary source for news and media content.

Joint Examination Between Public and Private Universities

As part of efforts to enhance academic cooperation between public and private universities, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) organized a joint examination for students of the Information Technology Department, in cooperation with the University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology / Information Technology Department.
The Dean of the College also conducted a field follow-up of the examination process, reviewing the exam environment and the level of organization, and emphasizing the importance of providing a suitable atmosphere that ensures students can perform their exams smoothly and calmly.
The examination was conducted using unified questions prepared by a joint scientific committee, contributing to fairness in evaluation and standardizing the academic level among students.
This step comes in line with the direction of educational institutions toward enhancing the quality of education and integrating academic expertise, which positively reflects on the outcomes of the educational process.

Building and Managing Work Teams Training Course

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a training course entitled “Building and Managing Work Teams” for students of the Information Technology (IT) Department. The course was delivered by Dr. Mahdi Al-Saadi.

As part of its applied scientific activities, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a visit for students of the Artificial Intelligence Department to the Medical Competencies Center.

Minutes of the Third Session (3) for the Academic Year 2025/2026
The Council of the College of Pharmacy held its third periodic session for the current year on the morning of Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Honorable Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Laith Mohammed Abbas Al-Husseini, and attended by all council members. The Chairman opened the session by welcoming the attendees and commending the efforts made to ensure the success of the educational process. The Council then proceeded to discuss the items on its agenda:
I. Directives of the Honorable Dean
During the session, the Dean emphasized several pivotal points to ensure the regular progression of the educational process, most notably:


Academic Commitment: Strict adherence to the schedule of lectures (theoretical and practical) according to the announced timings, ensuring the presence of both faculty and students in halls and laboratories.


Time Management: The necessity of making the most of the remaining period of the second semester to complete the curricula, ensuring the scientific rigor of the material.


Examination Readiness: Preparation of all logistical and technical requirements by scientific departments and examination committees for the mid-semester exams, providing a suitable environment for students.



II. Student Affairs
Based on the principle of transparency and involving students in decisions regarding their academic career, the Council discussed the following:


Student Representation: Hosting the student representative in the session to discuss student issues directly. The Dean directed his official inclusion in segments related to student affairs to serve as an effective liaison and a voice for his colleagues before the Council.


Examination Schedule: Reviewing the proposed examination schedule for the second semester. The Council listened to the feedback of the student representative regarding the timing of subjects, working to resolve obstacles and find appropriate solutions to ensure a smooth examination process without scheduling conflicts.



III. Quality Assurance and University Performance
Within the framework of the college’s endeavor to obtain local and international accreditation, the following files were discussed:


Quality Requirements: A comprehensive review of the latest updates to quality standards issued by the Ministry and the University Presidency, emphasizing the need for all departments to strictly implement academic documentation.


Accreditation Committees: The Council discussed mechanisms for forming specialized committees tasked with preparing program and institutional accreditation files, defining the duties of each committee according to specific timelines.


Industrial Advisory Board: Discussing the proposal to establish the "Industrial Advisory Board" at the College of Pharmacy. This board aims to bridge the gap between academic outcomes and the needs of the labor market in the pharmaceutical sector, providing the college with field expertise from owners of pharmaceutical factories and companies.




Concluding Recommendation:
"Based on the above, the Dean directed the Heads of Departments and Coordinators to follow up on the implementation of these recommendations immediately and to work as one team to raise the scientific and administrative level of the college. We wish our dear students continued success."

Conducting the Second Semester Examinations for Students of the Medical Physics Department in the College of Science

The Department of Medical Physics in the College of Science has commenced the administration of the second semester examinations (second attempt) for second- and third-year students, as part of the requirements for the academic year 2025–2026.
The examination process has been conducted in accordance with approved academic and administrative procedures, under the direct supervision of the College Deanship and the Head of the Department. All necessary logistical and organizational requirements have been provided to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of the examinations, in line with the applicable ministerial regulations and instructions.
Emphasis has also been placed on providing an appropriate examination environment that supports students’ academic performance, while adhering to quality standards and academic rigor in the preparation and implementation of the examinations.

Enhancing the practical aspect: a scientific visit for medical physics students to Imam Zain Al-Abidin Hospital (peace be upon him).

A scientific visit was organized for students of the College of Science – Department of Medical Physics, accompanied by several faculty members, to Imam Zain Al-Abidin Hospital. This visit was part of efforts to strengthen the integration between theoretical and practical aspects of the educational process.
The visit aimed to provide students with the opportunity to directly observe the latest medical devices and advanced technologies used in diagnosis and treatment, particularly those related to the field of medical physics, including medical imaging systems and modern radiation equipment.
The visit included a field tour of several hospital departments, where the medical and technical staff offered detailed explanations on how the devices operate, the technologies employed, and their role in improving the efficiency of healthcare services, as well as enhancing diagnostic accuracy and treatment quality. Students were also given the opportunity to engage directly by asking questions and discussing scientific and practical aspects relevant to their specialization.
The department faculty emphasized that this visit is part of a scientific program aimed at developing students’ practical skills and enhancing their field experience, thereby better preparing them for the demands of the medical job market.

With the blessing of the Almighty, the Council of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Warith Al-Anbiya (peace be upon him) held its inaugural session for the academic year 2025-2026. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Laith Mohammed Abbas Al-Husseini, and attended by the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs and all Heads of Scientific Departments.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean welcomed the Council members, commending the efforts exerted in organizing and preparing theoretical and practical lectures for our dear students in accordance with the approved and ratified curricula. He emphasized the necessity of continuous striving to achieve quality standards, elevate the academic and scientific level of the college, and maintain full compliance with the university calendar approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The meeting included discussions on several key axes , most notably :


Logistical Preparations: Reviewing the distribution of classrooms and scientific laboratories to receive students.

In implementation of the directives of the respected Dean of the College of Science, a delegation from the college conducted a field visit to follow up on the training program of third-year students within the departments of Imam Zain Al-Abidin (peace be upon him) Specialized Hospital.
This visit comes as part of the college’s established annual academic plans, as third-year training represents a fundamental pillar in linking theoretical curricula with practical applications in an advanced healthcare environment. The delegation reviewed students’ discipline, their interaction with medical and technical staff, and the provision of all necessary requirements to ensure maximum academic benefit for the students, in addition to strengthening continuous cooperation with the hospital administration to guarantee the quality of field training.
The College Deanship affirmed that this annual training program aims to refine students’ skills and prepare them technically and academically before progressing to the final stage, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the high professional standards upheld by reputable healthcare institutions such as Imam Zain Al-Abidin (peace be upon him) Hospital.

In cooperation with the University of Dhi Qar, College of Media experienced excellence

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in order to promote scientific integrity and exchange academic experiences, the College of Media, Department of Digital Media at Warith Al-Anbiya University (PBUH), conducted the joint exam with its counterpart at Dhi Qar University, within the framework of the scientific agreement concluded between the two universities, under the supervision of the Dean of the College and the Head of the Department.
The necessary logistical and technical requirements were provided to ensure the success of the exam, including equipped halls, technical and administrative staff, as well as appropriate scientific preparation, reflecting the university’s keenness to implement the ministry’s directives and strive towards developing the educational process in accordance with sound academic standards.
